About our company
Born in Flint, Michigan, Hawkins Amplification set forth to provide quality amplification to the masses with select components and easy serviceabilty should the need ever arise. Hawkins started as an amplifier repair shop since 2008 and branched into making great amps after seeing the downfalls from major manufacturers. We also added features requested by guitar players and added our own special mods to make unique designs not offered by other builders. Our amps are bulletproof and made to withstand touring as well as making a home in your studio. Each amp is put together in our shop with quality components, handwired, and built in our own handmade cabinet. You can pick out your tolex, front panel fabric/tolex, knobs, and even the jewel light color to make it your own.

Message: I recently commissioned Mark to build me the new Hawkins DLX+ 15W Tweed Deluxe head. I have to admit that I have known Mark for many years. He has repaired and tweaked all of my guitars and amplifiers. His skills are amazing and he and his work is clean and second to no one.
I have been following the DLX+ since he first teased it on his website and Facebook pages. The Fender Deluxe has a reputation followed by many. However, owning one costs a fortune. When Mark started a discussion about adding a master volume and a tone stack to a 5E3 circuit, I was hooked and followed its development. For the record, I now own the DLX+ with the red knobs in the photo. I play my guitars through a Germino, a vintage Fender Bassman and now The Hawkins DLX+ 15W Tweed Deluxe head. IT IS AMAZING!!
Mark has added a few tweaks that make it a classic deluxe and few others with tones you need to hear. The negative feedback switch gives great options to a basic circuit. Throw in the master volume and a second channel with a tone stack, he has built something special. Need more, jump the channels and the tonal possibilities make this amp a bargain for a custom hand built amplifier.
I have played single coils, hum-buckers and P-90s through this gem. I can honestly say, if you play blues or classic rock plug straight in and go. Add an overdrive in front to push the preamp and you can get even more tones.
